Abstract

In Holacracy, instead of operating top-down, power is distributed throughout the organization. This empower individuals and teams to have freedom while staying aligned to the mission of the business. This concept has recently been accepted & implemented in some organizations globally.


Article attempts to investigate what is holacracy and how it can be made to work in ever changing business environment. A study on overview of holacracy is performed to assess what could be learned from this practice to make business more agile and able to benefit more. Further, issues relating to its implementation, advantages and disadvantages are discussed.
