Abstract

The foreign policy of the NDA government, often referred to as the "Modi doctrine," encompasses the strategic initiatives undertaken by the current government of India since Narendra Modi assumed office as Prime Minister on May 26, 2014. Central to Modi's international strategy is the enhancement of relations with neighboring nations in South Asia, fostering long-term engagement with Southeast Asia, and establishing stronger ties with major global powers.  The Modi government has made concerted efforts to forge numerous partnerships, emphasizing inclusivity and mutual benefit. These endeavors, characterized by Modi's extensive travels and diplomatic engagements abroad, reflect India's enduring commitment to a pragmatic and balanced approach to foreign policy despite encountering challenges. Modi's second term in office, marked by a stronger political mandate, is poised to challenge the traditional Nehruvian paradigm that has long shaped India's foreign policy within an ever-evolving global landscape. The paper comprehensively addresses the overarching developments and objectives of the NDA government led by Narendra Modi, highlighting key shifts in foreign policy and outlining the new initiatives directed towards various states.Modi's second term in office with a more noteworthy political command is probably going to challenge the Nehruvian the state of affairs in India's foreign policy in a steadily changing international situation. The paper covers the general foreign policy improvements and goals of the NDA government headed by Narendar Modi, a portion of the progressions in foreign policy and the new policy drives towards different states.
